Imo offers citizens free transport from Lagos at Xmas

LAGOS—The Governor of Imo State, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim has assured Imo State citizens living in Lagos State of Free Transport back to the state during the forthcoming Christmas celebrations.

Governor Ohakim who made this known at the Cultural Day Celebration of Imo Citizens resident in Lagos, asked that those who cannot afford transport back home would be given the opportunity to visit the state this Christmas.

He assured them that the security is intact for all returning citizens to the state this Christmas period, pointing out that, the ‘Operation Festival Security’ outfit has been boosted to accord adequate security to all Imo citizens during the yuletide period.

The Governor urged Imo citizens in Lagos to come home to contribute their quota to the development of the state by investing in the state, pointing out that Imo has potentials in various businesses, stressing that the environment is conducive for all.

He, however, urged them to pay their tax to enable government raise fund to provide amenities to the people.
