Enugu gets c’ttee on private sector devt
ENUGU—GOVERNOR Sullivan Chime of Enugu State has inaugurated a 13-member State Advisory Committee on Private Sector Development to serve as a bridge between the government and the private sector as part of efforts to eliminate bureaucratic bottlenecks and all the barriers that impair investment.
Inauguring the committee headed by Dr. Anthony Nebo at the Government House, Enugu, Chime described the private sector as the engine room that holds the key to the development of any economy, adding that “the private sector holds the ace in mobilizing resources and management expertise that will guarantee the viability and stability of our economic growth.â€
He noted that on assumption of office, his administration embarked on an aggressive infrastructural development, designed to provide enabling environment for the private sector and make Enugu a location of choice for investors.
