ABUJA—THE National Woman leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hajia Maryam Inna Ciroma said yesterday that if the party must be repositioned in Borno State, there was the urgent need for all stakeholders in the PDP to suppress their ego centric nature.
“I wish to call for caution on the part of party stakeholders from Borno state. We have to each suppress our individual ego, as we strive to reposition the PDP for future successesâ€, she said.
In a statement signed by her and made available to newsmen in Abuja yesterday, Ciroma stressed that to her position as one of the national leaders of the party, she must abide by the decisions of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party without prejudice to matter that affect her state.
Part of the statement reads, “I find it most uncharitable, references being made to me as being at logger heads with fellow stakeholders of the PDP from Borno State, to the effect that placard carrying youths marched to the national headquarters of the PDP in Abuja making remarks in that direction.
