Abakaliki—The Ebonyi Government has promised to offer automatic employment to disabled graduates from tertiary institutions in the state.
Mr Silas Egede, National President, United Association of Physically Challenged Persons of Nigeria, made the disclosure, weekend at a ceremony to confer awards on some individuals and groups in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
“There are presently 120 disabled persons on scholarship from the state government and all of them have been promised automatic employment on graduation by the government. We are grateful to the government for graciously increasing the number of beneficiaries from 50 to 120 and increasing the worth of the scholarship from N20, 000 to N50, 000,†he said.
