Determined to encourage the movie goers and entertainment lovers, indigenous smart phone maker, Anabel Mobile has slashed all brands of its mobile phones including PS200, PS185Y, PS100, effizzy, Ice and MP3 players by 10%.
Speaking to IT journalists last week in Lagos in a press conference on the new development, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Anabel, Mr Nicholas Okoye said that the price slash was necessary so as to allow more entertainment fans and other Nigerians  own Anabel phones and other products which have continued to attract high patronage in the market.
“We want to improve on our brand visibility and bring closer to the end users in remote and major urban centers across the nation. Customers can get 10% discount on all Anabel Mobile phones and MP3 players with every movie ticket buy at the genesis deluxe cinemas.
“ Anabel brands have the state-of-the-art technology to compete with the foreign brands in the market. We are determined to enhance the overall communication experience of the personal and business consumer by embedding cutting edge mobile business and entertainment content on ultra modern devices which embrace the latest in world class design, technology and innovation
We are a preferred supplier of mobile devices for professionals, students and people in Africa†Okoye, who has been preaching made_in_Nigeria products said with optimism.
According to him, these products, approved by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) are new smartphones designed and manufactured for the African market. “ Anabel Professional Series of smartphones for instance, runs on Windows Mobile 6.0 and 6.1which offers PC, mail and calendar synchronisation†he explained, adding that Anabel will continue to support the growing Nigerian telecommunications market with cutting edge smart phones. While warning on fake products, Okoye assured that consumes of Anabel products are entitled to one year warranty with after sales support manned by experienced and trained technicians.
It would recalled that Anabel Mobile has been identified as one of the trail blazers in this direction having launched the first Nigerian mobile phone and first Nigerian hand held computer or Smart phone that runs on windows mobile operating system by Microsoft.
Abel presently produces professional series smart phones which are indeed hand held computers, they also produce “digital media devices†which can play video, music, FM Radio as well as its ability to record voice and other sounds.
It also has a recently yet to be released dual sim internet phone called “Effizzy†which has dual sim and dual standby allowing a user to switch between networks while on a voice call.
However, the real excitement is the sleek and sophisticated “Anabel’s Quazâ€Â which will have a white appeal, it is coming before the end of the year, this phone has been eagerly anticipated by thousands and it promises to give Nigerians who love the iPhone style a better alternative, a picture and Sample is presently on display at Anabel’s shop at the Transcorp Hilton hotel in Abuja.
