A 76-year-old woman has been kidnapped at Ibusa, Delta State, even as kidnappers of the Oceanic Bank manager have dropped their ransom from N110 million to half a million naira.
Police, who gave the name of the kidnapped 76-year-old woman as Josephine Nwaigbo, said she was kidnapped at Ibusa on November 19, but added that nemesis, however, caught up with the suspects as they took her to an uncompleted building at Ebu, demanding N15 million.
“They (kidnappers) later agreed to collect N500,000 and they were arrested while trying to collect the money.â€
Meanwhile, kidnappers of the regional bank manager of Oceanic Bank, who took him along with the owner of Leisure Homes, Asaba, have dropped the ransom being requested from N110m to N500,000, close family sources have said.
The bank manager and the hotelier were seized at the DDPA Housing Estate in Asaba, Sunday night. The kinappers escaped in a jeep belonging to the hotelier.
