The National Association of Ijaw Female Students (NAIFS) has decided to take the problem of the Niger Delta region to God as they converge on Abuja for their convention.
The Ijaw Monitoring Group (IMG), while releasing details of the convention slated for Abuja between 4th to 6th of December, said all was set for the greatest gathering of female students from any part of the country.
Addressing newsmen in Lagos, the founder of NAIFS and Coordinator Ijaw Monitoring Group, Comrade Joseph Evah said the Chief of Staff of IMG, Comrade Andrew Elijah will coordi-nate all the committees working for the success of the convention.
The health committee will be headed by the Special Adviser to the IMG Coordinator on Health matters and former student leader at OAU, Dr. Clarkson Agagaowei.
Others handling various committees include former National President of NAIFS, Mrs. Faith Mukoro (welfare); Comrade Timi Igoli, IMG Scribe (documentation, supply and transport); Mrs Timi Ebibi (feeding); IYDA President, Henry Oyobolo (protocol) and Mr, Braye Femowei (accommodation).
While defending the choice of Abuja as venue for this year’s convention, Comrade Evah said: “Ijaw villages know the impact NAIFS has made by their de-worming of children all over Niger Delta yearly to save lives.
But for this intellectual discuss, the future Niger Delta mothers must take the message to the door step of the authorities when demanding for the right of the Niger Delta people. Every segment of our struggle has gone to Abuja to lend their voice on solution to the Niger Delta problem, the women will go there too to add their voice and we know that the voice of women is the most powerful”.
He disclosed that at the event, NAIFS, which is one of the 12 NGOs under IMG will showcase the rich culture of the Ijaw nation and will hold at the Abuja Sheraton Hotel and Towers, while the over two thousand students will take the Niger Delta problem to God on Sunday at the Ecumenical Centre, Abuja to find God’s solution to the problem that has defied man-made solution.

I hope they will address pressing issues like the pressure on Vice President to resign his appointment as VP
Its is absolutely wrong and the Constitution must be obeyed. There is no where they said if President goes the VP must also go
