We’ll whack Eagles 5-0, says Kenyan minister

By Fidelis Ebu, Abuja
Kenyan assistant sports minister, Kabando-wa-Kabando, has predicted 5-0 bashing of the Green Eagles by the Harambee Stars in the final phase of 2010 World Cup qualifier.

Kabando said the whitewashing of the Eagles would bring succour to the tumultous Kenyan football.
“We lost 3-0 in Abuja, but this time in Nairobi, we will whip the Green Eagles 5-0 to bring smiles to the Kenyan people.

“We want the victory so as to be in Angola next year for the African Cup of Nations. A win in Nairobi on November 14 will definitely give us the ticket to be in Angola next year. Our football has not known peace in the recent past, and the victory over the Green Eagles will restore peace as well as give us the desired ticket to Angola”, Kabando-wa-Kabando said in a telephone conversation yesterday.

Ehhhh, I dont even think Mr. Kabando has even kicked a soccer ball in his life let alone play a competitive match. This kind of comment should have Mr. Kabando jailed for 3 months. Kenya is a merely a 3rd wife to Nigeria.

    Ha Ha Ha

Current FIFA ranking: Nigeria: 32, Kenya: 104
The eagles must make sure they are playing soccer and are not being tricked into running marathon or other long distances.
It is Tunisia (ranked 54) and Mozambique (ranked 84) that should be talking. That game will decide the fate of the eagles about south africa. Nigeria will beat Kenya 2-0. Mozambique and Tunisia will draw 1-1

    H arry,
i AGREE with your suggestion about the team line up. The Kenyan minister is just a clown. What does he think this is? A funny game? This my team:

    Enyeama

    Odiah Yobo Nwaneri Echiejile

    Ayila Ajilore Mikel (If FIT)

    Osaze Obafeni Eneramo

Subs: Nsofor, Shittu, Aiyenugba, Akpala, Olifinjana, Yakubu

I know they can do it. All they need to do is to zero their mentality for 90 mins and focus. We might just be able to pull it off. Remember the Nigeria -Sudan game in Omarumadan….2002 World cup qualifier. We were in the same position under the same coach.Although the quality of players might not be the same,I still believe that w e will provide the needed shocker to the Hamberee Stars.Whatever happens in the other game is up in the air.Good luck Eagles!

This is hillarious Mr. Kabando-wa-Kabando or Mr. abarakadabra -wa-Kabando.

  5. Ekene says:

Did you say 5 nil? lol, well i can’t remember the last time that we lost with that margin. Despit our problems in football a country like Kenya remains our wife in the game of football. This is not a race of marathon Mr. Minister

I am definitely not worried by Mr Kabandos comments. What worries me is
the fact that we, have not been able to score in our away matches (Rades &
Maputo). The Kenyans have scored at least a goal in their Home games,
to Tunisia and Mozambique. The good news is that Coach Amodu has
finally decided to invite Chidi Odia. If coach Amodu plays Odia,Nwaneri,
Yobo and Echiejile in the defence, then I don’t see how the Kenyans can
score one goal let alone five! Our attack should definitely have Emenaro,
Akpala, and Martins. I will like to see Odemwingie, Nsofor, and Keita in the
Midfield. And how about Dele Ayenugba or Greg Etafia in Goal for a
change? What do you guys think? Please, lets offer suggestions to the
coach, and hopefully he will read our comments and make genuine changes. Good luck to Super Eagles.

If such a beating, would bring an end to this bad NFF, then so be it. Nigeria have nothing to lose anymore,so I wish Kenya good luck.
