Take-over of Kano, Lagos by PDP, empty boast says, PPA scribe
National Publicity Secretary of the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA), Chief Ben Onyechere says the claim by the Peoples Democratic Party’s National Chairman, Chief Vincent Ogbulafor that his party was ready to take Kano and Lagos is an empty boast aimed at boosting his image.
In a statement, Chief Onyechere said: “Ogbulafor is simply colourless. Instead of looking for ways to enhance the electoral reform and the constitution review programmes, he is busy talking from both sides of the mouth.
“He should feel the pause of rejection and despair pervading the polity as a result of the directionless of his party leadership.
“However, it is very important to warn him to keep off Abia State which is the soul of PPA, particularly in his jest to capture Nigeria.
“He does not need anybody to advise him on Abia because there is little or nothing about PDP there. The Igbo want a party of their own to present a presidential candidate of their own and not one imposed from outside.
“You cannot touch a man’s soul and go free, Abia is the soul of the PPA. The Igbo are very passionate about Abia and other South-East states.
“The conspiracy to make Nigeria a one-party state has been uncovered and Nigerians are waiting to resist this latest threat,†he said.
