LAGOS – The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG),Â in response to the on-going reforms in the banking sector, is hosting a policy dialogue with the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Lamido Sanusi, on the post-consolidation crisis in the banking sector on Friday, October 23, at the Nigerian Institute for International Affairs, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Sanusi will present a keynote address with the theme â€œPost-Consolidation Crisis in the Banking Sector: The Challenge of Regulation going forwardâ€ in which he is expected to lay bare his vision for the sector and possibly spell out a roadmap.
A panel of discussants drawn from professionals in various sectors of the economy will lead the interactive section at the event.
The panel, to be chaired by Mr. Fola Adeola, Chairman, Main-One Cable Company Limited, would includeÂ Mr. Okey Enalama, Chief Operating Officer, Capital Alliance; Dr. Ifeanyi Okoye, MD, Juhel Nigeria Limited; Alhaji Bukar Kyari, MD/CEO, Value Card Nigeria Limited, and Professor Tunji Akande, DG, NISER.
Others are Mrs. Vivien Shobo, MD, Augusto & Co; Mr. Olisa Agbakoba (SAN), HURILAWS and Mrs. Ibukun Awosika, MD, Sokoa Chairs Limited.
The outcome of the dialogue, sponsored by Zinox Group, will enable NESG forward policy options to the government, CBN, and other stakeholders to achieve a sustainably healthy financial sector in the country.
