Aba— Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), has warned leadership of the Niger Delta militant groups to be wary of the Federal Government’s amnesty, saying it was deceitful.
The militants, MASSOB said are not criminals, neither have they been convicted by any court of law to warrant the amnesty, even as the organisation disassociated itself from the 2010 Anambra state governorship election.
Delivering the 10th anniversary ceremony of the group at Ohafia, headquarters of Aba North recently, MASSOB Administrator for the region, Evang Arua Egwu said the amnesty would weaken the struggle of the Niger Delta people against injustice being meted to them by the Federal Government.
Arua disclosed that the people of the South-South and South East have so many things in common, including struggle against emasculation.
He pointed out that like the militants in the Niger Delta, MASSOB was on a divine mission to liberate Ndigbo and urged youths of the South-South not to give up, describing the amnesty as “stick and carrotâ€.
