ASABA—BARELY a week after the wife of a transport magnet, operators of Agofure Motors, was kidnapped at Agbarho, along with her driver, another kidnapping has occurred.
The victim this time is a company director who was kidnapped in Asaba yesterday morning on his way to his office and his whereabouts was still unknown at press time.
State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Charles Muka, confirmed the incident, saying that “the Director of GBC, Mr. Murphy Madubu Ike, was kidnapped today (Thursday)opposite MTN Centre, Asaba, near to his (Ike) company premises on his way to office.â€
The PPRO added that “he (victim) was in a bus, while his Toyota Camry car was abandoned at the scene.
“We have spread our dragnet and we rely on the cooperation of good spirited Nigerians who usually give us information on the activities of criminal elementsâ€.
