AS Kano prepares to host the Malawi versus USA group F match on Thursday, chairman of the Kano LOC sub-seat, Ado Salisu has promised to keep the lights on at the Sanni Abacha Stadium.
The floods lights were knocked out on Monday, during a game between the USA and Spain. “We are sorry about that and we. We apologise to the teams, officials and fans and promise this will not happen again in subsequent matches,†Salisu said.
He explained that a power surge caused the blackout, which held up the game for 14 minutes. But according to him the problem has been rectified.
