Itemuagbor clears air on trophy tour

Chairman of the Marketing Committee for the on-going FIFA Under 17 World Cup, Mike Itemuagbor, said yesterday that the trophy tour his committee organised was not funded by the government.
“It was our initiative to create awareness and also help in boosting ticket sales. We did not get a kobo from the LOC or the government to do the trophy tour,” he said, adding “it was also a sort of sponsorship drive and I can tell you that it was successful.”
