Following the scanty crowd that graced the opening matches of the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Abuja, Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has assured all that the Gateway Stadium in Ijebu-Ode would witness full capacity on Sunday when the venue hosts the first of the three matches allotted to it.
The United States who are grouped along side Spain, United Arab Emirates and Malawi in the Kano centre will play UAE in their last group match on Sunday at the Gateway Stadium while the same stadium will also host a round of 16 match between the second teams in Groups A and C on November 4, 2009.
The last match in Ijebu-Ode is a quarter-final match on November 8, 2009Â Governor Daniel said in a chat with journalists in Shagamu early in the week that part of the reasons why Ijebu-Ode got only three matches was because organisers thought people will not come out to watch the matches.
