Crisis: PPA moves to take over APGA

By  Peter Okhiria

THE  Progressive Peoples Alliance has restated its willingness to take over the All Peoples Grand Alliance (APGA) following the factional crisis rocking the party.

PPA in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Chief Ben Onyechere said “with respect to the disturbances in APGA, the PPA is making moves to allow APGA to collapse into the PPA so that the efforts put in by Ojukwu and other APGA leaders to create a formidable mouth piece for Ndigbo will not be wasted.

“The party in sympathy for APGA is going to make sure that the executives of APGA, who are coming to PPA will be well positioned in PPA such that they will still have a strong say in the building of PPA, whose democratic space is elastic and expanding on daily basis because Nigerians have started to see that PDP is leading the country into anarchy and social upheaval.”

On 2010 gubernatorial election in Anambra state, PPA said “the Anambra governorship election will be a test case for PPA’s effort to take over the whole of South East because PDP is no longer welcome in the South East.

The people of Anambra have long being blackmailed by people,  who are agents to the enemies of Igbo people to cause confusion which is  the reason they can never win again in Anambra and all South East,  no matter the amount of rigging they plan to unleash.

Their congress and primaries in Anambra have showcased the type of politics PDP is practicing. Igbos have suffered enough in the hands of people who feel they must continue to control our destiny.”
