Abia FRSC gets mobile court
Umuahia—Mr Gilbert Igbokwe, the Sector Commander of the FRSC in Abia State , says a mobile court has been established to try traffic offenders during and after the “ember months’’.
Igbokwe told newsmen in Umuahia, yesterday that the Commission requested for the court because it wanted accident-free ember months.
He said the trial of traffic offenders in the state would go a long way in cautioning drivers to toe the line of sanity.
“We have lined up a number of programmes and we are intensifying our campaigns and rallies in motor parks as well as using radio jingles to sensitise all road users,’’ he said.
The sector commander, who decried the state of roads in Abia State, said the Commission was liaising with the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency and the state Ministry of Works for the repair of the bad portions of the various highways in the state.
