2010: Soludo, aspirants reconcile

Onitsha—Some governorship aspirants, who contested for the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) with former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo have again pledged their unflinching support for Soludo  and the party for the 2010 election in Anambra State.

The aspirants who accompanied the PDP flagbearer, Soludo from Abuja to the Government Technical College(GTC), Awka, where he was received by a mammoth crowd, comprising members of the PDP, said they resolved to support Soludo because they were convinced that he will move Anambra State to greater heights.

Seven of the aspirants, who spoke at the event were full of  praises for Soludo. They included Chief Okey Aroh, Mr Tony Nwoye, Deacon Okeke, Chief Kodilichukwu Okelekwe, Mrs Chika Ibeneme, Damian Okoro and Chief Solo Ekwenze.

They said peace had returned to Anambra State and the PDP with the emergence of Soludo and Anosike and urged all members of the party and the public to vote massively for them in the February 6, governorship election.

“God has answered the prayer of the people of Anambra State with regards to good governance. The Soludo/Anosike ticket is the best thing that has happened to us. We assure the people of Anambra and members of the PDP that we will support them and ensure that they are voted for in the 2010 election”, they said.

Please My People from Anambra State, Kindly Vote for the Person Not Necessarily the Party – Soludo

    At last they have agreed to become the yes,Sir and yes Ma group;
the puppet dancers on stage of Anambra political stage., what more ?

The voodoo doctors have charmed them stone quiet and let’s see
what Soludo manifesto can do. Whereas, it is increasingly getting
too late unless the voodoo doctors are going to rig elections again
and tranquilise Anambra with police and military bullets ? Before
they do, the must be reminded that there seems to be an International
Tribunal of Justice in existence now. Perhaps the new “immunity” been
sort in the Senate is a reflection of attrocities to come in the upcoming
elelction in Anambra state for PDP on slaught. We are watching and the world id also watching.

Yet, Soludo has all the academic tittles and bank trophies but totally failed
to contribute anything to Anambra state, not even words, commentary on
how the state was being administered nor sympathy on what the state
had gone through. He waited until he retirement from the bank and
decided on a past-time hobby in Anambra state. We want attentive leadership, someone whose heart and soul lies in Anambra state not
just a retirement address to hang arround. What does Soludo know
about grassroots, pains and agonies of the people of Anambra, hardships
of ordinary people, how the poor live and the massive unemployment of
the educated youths ? Does Soludo know the neighbouring boundaries
and the local communities ? When did he see a sick person last in
Anambra state let alone educational children ? These are the areas of
interests and elementary level of political acquaintance for Soludo.

is quite unfortunate that Soludo with all his reputation decided to belong to the wrong party,to me he better join Ngige if he mean well for Anambra people, cause the devil we know is better than the angel we dont know, as long as Chris Uba still remains a member of PDP the party will never win a credible, free and fair election in my beloved state ANAMBRA.

  4. Ibiam says:

It is even better that they have heeded the voice of reasoning. We the Anambrarians are happy for this reconciliation because the Soludo/Anosike ticket is the best thing that has happened to us. For the want of peace, those non-Anambrarians should take flight and let us be. God bless PDP, God bless our leaders.

i feel you guys here but you know what? believe it or not, pdp is taking over the state again come 2010. our state is too weak and porous to fight them. it is unfortunate. i still blame the epileptic governing style of obi for all these things happening now. if he likes let him donate 40 drugs to hospitals and 20 computers to dilapidated schools, he is only wasting his time. he woke up too late and he will learn in a hard way.

it’s unfortunate that all these things are happening.

  6. CHUKS01 says:

definitely money has changed hands..PDP WHEN WILL THIS POLITICS OF MONEY AND HYPOCRISY STOP.SOLUDO I HAVE LOST CONFIDENCE IN BOTH YOU AND DORA.
    ITS A SHAME.

  7. Johnpaul says:

We’re not talking about reconciliation. we’re more interested in true democracy and the accompanying dividends. How many of the contestants reconcile? They can reconcile or not but they should prove to us that they can guarantee democracy when they could not democratically elect a flag bearer. Anambrarians, Dont be fooled.

  8. Samson says:

Idiots and embezzlers. That’s what they usually say

  9. KEHINDE says:

Who is fooling who Anambra State?

  10. elochukwu says:

we anambrarians will not allow pdo to bamboozle us again. a certain chinese proverb says “cheat me once, shame on you; cheat me again, shame on me”. they should understand we know they are trying to use soludo to regain aceess to our commonwealth. no way this time. who is pdp, who is chris uba? they are one and the same thing.it is either peter obi or ngige next year, but definitely not pdsolu.
