ONITSHA – The Acttion Congress (AC) candidate for the 2010 governorship election in Anambra state, Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige, weekend embarked on voters education in the 21 local government areas of the state.

Ngige, a former Governor of the state, who arrived the state from America, said the exercise was aimed at making sure that all eligible voters, registered in the on going voters registration to enable them cast their votes for candidates of their choice in the 2010 governorship poll.

Speaking at the official opening of the AC office at Ukpo, Dunukofia Local Government Area, the former Governor said the party was determined to check any form of electoral fraud that may  be contemplated by his opponents from other political parties.

Besides, he said the party would organise seminars and workshops for the people of the state to educate them on how to vote wisely in the forthcoming election and urged Anambra people, especially his supporters to go and register, as it was their only power to determine who governed them in 2010.

Ngige appealed to the traditional rulers of Ukpo and Ukwulu, Igwe Robert Eze and Igwe T.C Tagbo respectively, to mobilise the people in their domains to go and register and obtain their voters cards so that they could vote in the governorship election.
