Minna – As MoslemsÂ in Niger state join their counterpart world over to mark the 2009 Id-El-fitri, Governor Muâ€™azu Babangida Aliyu has challenged adherents of the faith in the state to sustain the ideals of the season beyond the Ramadan period.
Governor Aliyu in his Id-El-fitri message to moslems in Niger state enumerated such ideals which included; piety, patience, tolerance, perseverance, humility, self denial and service to humanity throughout the rest of their days on earth are qualities without which they cannot be close to almighty Allah.
Aliyu who reminded Muslims in Niger state that they are alive today by the special grace of Allah as many of them who started the fast could not conclude it while some were never alive to be part of the yearsâ€™ Id-el-fitri also urged them to remain steadfast to the commandments of God Almighty.
The power to life and death according to the Governor Aliyu is in the hands of Allah pointing out that, as adherents of Islamic faith who are alive, muslims in the state should be grateful to Allah at all times.
He said, being alive today is based purely on Allahsâ€™ mercifulness and benevolence to mankind which they are expected to reciprocate by living the rest of their lives according to the teachings of Prophet Mohammed.
While congratulating muslims in the state for successfully completing the Ramadan fast, Aliyu said as a government, the present administration is committed to providing dividends of democracy to all the nooks and crannies of the state.
All that the government required of you is support and cooperation, we are committed to providing quality service as being the plank on which the vision 3:2020 is based, Governor Aliyu stated.
