NFF President Sani Lulu protested yesterday the manner at which journalists attribute stories to him without speaking to him. He cited the much publicised story on his declaration not to seek re-election for NFF election, saying that mischief people were at work. “I never told anybody that I will not contest for the election of the NFF.
I am surprised that I was quoted as saying so. It is one of the numerous stories whereby mischief makers use journalists to discredit me in the eyes of the publicâ€. He said that he believed so much in destiny that whatever would be would be.
“In the first instance, God used Nigerians to make me run and become President of NFF. If Nigerians say that they don’t believe me, there is nothing one can do about it. And if Nigerians say that they still believe in me and want me to continue, nobody can do otherwise. But you have to watch what some of your correspondents send to youâ€, Lulu emphasised.
