Charity Runway was held last Sunday at the Expo Hall of the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos; it will certainly be a night to remember for those who took out time to attend.
The likes of Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, Mrs. Adesuwa Oyenokwe, Mrs. Kate Henshaw-Nuttal, Mrs. Omawunmi Mgbele and Mrs. Funlola Aofiyebi took time off their busy schedules to be on the catwalk for the noble cause of raising money for the children resident at Arrow of God Orphanage.
There were also male models to grace the event. They included John Fashanu, Chidi Mokeme, Uti Nwachukwu Adewale and, of course, D’banj.
The orphanage, which currently houses 300 children, was founded in 1998 by Rev. (Lt. Col.) DC Ogo. It caters for abandoned babies and children; some of whom are now in university.
Charity Runway was compered by Maryann Anazodo and  singer, No More Loss. It kicked off with prayers, after which Waje sang her version of the National Anthem. Olumide, the jazz artiste, whose popularity is on the rise by the day, held guests spell-bound with his beautiful baritone voice.
Afterwards, guests were treated to a documentary on the orphanage, a show which drew tears from most of them. The scenario was heightened when one of the children, Joshua, who said he wanted to be a musician took the stage to render a song.
