Speaking to Home Video People moment after his victory, Segun said, “ The issue here was that the entire world wanted Ejike out of office and today that has been achieved.

I am the new president of  AGN. It might interest you to know that out of the 27 state chapters of our great association, we had representatives from 23 chapters who voted at the election. That is telling you that my election was real and legal.”

Segun, who earlier told HVP moment before picking his form that he was contesting both elections (the KOK and Ejike Asiegbu elections) made a dramatic u-turn when reminded of his initial intention, saying “ I do not intend contesting any elective position under the interim government of Kanayo O Kanayo. As you can see, I am the new president of AGN and I intend to unite all the feuding factions in our association.”

The Badagry, Lagos State-born actor cum musician promised to address a press conference to unfold his plan for the AGN as soon as he arrives Lagos.

But in swift reaction the chairman of the caretaker committee of AGN,  Kanayo O Kanayo, told HVP that the purported election held in Port Harcourt was not only illegal but criminal.

According to him, Ejike flouted a court order that barred him from parading himself as AGN President to conduct the election

.“The issue  is still a matter of litigation in  the court and therefore, I have no mandate to speak on it.

Secondly, election can only hold when past executives and members of the board of trustees are represented at the election venue.

Tell me how many of them were at the venue of the election. We should stop deceiving ourselves.  Ejike and everything about him are illegal.”

Continuing, Kanayo, who is more popularly known as KOK, revealed that, SegunArinze is not a card carrying  member of the Lagos State chapter of AGN, and so he is not eligible to contest elective post in any election conducted by the AGN.
