Outstanding dresses at the SMVA

The city of Lagos stood still for the 2009 Soundcity Music Video Awards which  held on August 1, 2009, at the Soundcity Dome at the Ocean View restaurant.

The Awards was nothing short of fabulous, as fashionistas and Lagos socialites turned up for the event  in some of the most glamorous outfits, while some others were totally outrageous. However, In keeping with the times, simplicity stole the show at the Saturday night ceremony.

Here are the women who wore their dresses, and didn’t let their dresses wear them. Note the minimalist approach to jewelry this year,  the most elegant ladies  wore one statement-making piece (see Seun’s dot earings)
