Reacting to Monday’s incident in Awka, during which armed robbers attacked several banks in broad daylight, leaving in their trail, two people dead and destroying property worth millions of naira, Ekwunife, who represents Anaocha/Dunukofia/Njikoka Federal Constituency and a former bank manager in the town before joining politics, urged the state government in particular, to suspend every other issue and channel all resources to secure the lives and properties of the people of the state, first.

According to her, there will be an improvement in the security situation in the state, if the police and other security agencies are adequately mobilized to check and challenge the hoodlums anytime they strike.

“Concerned Anambrarians are so much worried about what is happening in the state and it has got to a stage every righ –thinking person must show serious concern over this shameful development.
