Owerri-Notable Imo leaders have risen in defence of Imo state Governor, Chief Ikedi Ohakim over the recent attack on him by former Abia Governor, Chief Orji Kalu and a section of the media, describing the attacks as cowardly and malicious.
The leaders warned Chief Kalu to desist from meddling in the affairs of Imo state or face the wrath of the people.
Former Vice Chairman of People Democratic Party (PDP) South East, Nze Fidelis Ozichukwu cautioned Kalu to face Abia state and leave Ohakim to govern Imo state.
Business mogul, Chief Tony Chukwu warned Kalu to stop his expansionist move to annex Imo State as the people would resist it.
Imo State is certainly not part of the empire Orji Kalu wants to build in the South East, so the earlier he allows us space to manage our affairs, the betterâ€, they said.
