Ilorin – THE Kwara State Governor, Dr. Bukola Saraki weekend, exuded confidence that the state own university will take offÂ this coming session.
Governor Saraki said this, weekend, in an interview with journalists when he visited the university site, adding that he was impressed with the pace of work at the main campus of the state university in Molete.
â€œI am happy with the progress of work here by the contractor. The pace of work had increased greatlyÂ and I have confidence that the project would be completed before the state university formally takes off in mid October this year,â€ the Governor said.
He added that with the level of progress made at the site, government would not use the state College of Education, Ilorin as a take-off of the state university as being speculated.
On the cluster nature of the staff quarters, the Governor said a new staff quarter would be constructed, while the cluster staff quarters would be occupied by graduate assistants, and visiting lecturers.
The Governor also inspected the ongoing Harmony Estate at Akerebiata in Ilorin and directed that the project be ready for commissioning by the first week of next month.
He said the beneficiaries were anxious to receive their keys and directed that specific deficiencies in each of the housing unit, be addressed promptly by the developer.
The developer, Chief Bode Afolayan had earlier assured the Governor that the link roads within the estate as well as the one hundred housing units would be delivered next week.
