FG inaugurates c’ttee on National Productivity award
…appoints Funmi Komolafe, Vanguard’s Asst Editor as member

Abuja – The Federal Government in its bid to steer up industrial activities in the economy yesterday inaugurated the committee on National Productivity Centre Order of Merit Award with the mandate to effectively encourage and  reward Nigerian industrialists and organisations that have contributed to the economic advancement of the country.
Inaugurating the committee, the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Mr. Adetokunbo Kayode stated that “government is desirous to improve on the social economic  development of the country and therefore finds it necessary to always identify and reward outstanding entrepreneurs, especially as the country is more enthusiastic in realizing the economic adjectives of the vision 2020, with the hope of making Nigeria to be among 20 largest economies in the world â€.
The mandate of the 16 member Committee, which includes Vanguard’s Assistant Editor, (Labour), Mrs. Funmi Komolafe according to the Minister is “primarily to recognize and highlight the contributions of individuals and organisations in both the public and the private sector and make recommendations to government on how best to assist and reward them.”
