CRUSADER General Insurance Limited paid claims totalling N196, 183,305 between January and June 2009, the company’s Managing Director, Mr. Nimbe Oviosu has said.
In a statement recently in Lagos, Oviosu explained that the payment of claims was a confirmation of the company’s promise to fulfill all promises and ensure that its policyholders did not suffer unnecessarily.
A breakdown of the claims figure shows that general accident accounted for N40, 313,415, fire/special perils accounted for N18, 230,156 and Maine hull accounted for N10, 002,612.
N21, 114,562 claim was paid on Marine Cargo portfolio, motor insurance accounted for N104, 836,665, while a total of N1, 685,893was paid on the engineering insurance.
Oviosu stressed that the insurance outfit gave priority to prompt payment of all genuine claims because it was conscious of the fact that it was in business to pay claims.
