Chairman of Akwa United Football club, Isong Isang has said the club’s relegation from the Premier League does not signify that the club will not bounce back to Premier league next season.
Honourable Isang said that the club’s performance at this just concluded league season was quite unfortunate and disappointing and by so doing the players let the management and the people of the state down.
“This kind of thing always takes place, if you are a sports man, it is either you win or lose, one must prepare for either a loss or a win. We had every thing going well for us toward the end.
I must say the players let me and the entire people of Akwa Ibom down because they would have gotten at least a draw in their last match against JUTH football club of Jos,†he said..
“We are going to recruit some players. We want to get some hungry players who want to make a name,,†Isang said
