Dele, this is Rev. Chinedu still want you to give us more detailed report why Prof.Charles Soludo should run away if he is in the country or why he should not come back if he is abroad. Again we want to ask you what your column had wtitten on the likes of Olusegun Obasanjo,Fani Kayode,Olabode George and thier likes from your tribe who had mismanaged the countrys fund.
Please once again i want you to live Prof. Soludo alone untill he is proven to be wong.Till date Soludo remains a hero who had taken the banking industry to a higher height. Again we are watching

It is too early in the day for one to give a considered opinion on the events unfolding in the banking sector in Nigeria. This is because the speed with which Sanusi is pursuing his agenda (whateverand whoever's it is ) is surprising. This issue of 'non-performing loans' and debtors and what have you is not enough for the hullaballo which heralds it. On my own, I would say Soludo gave his best.

Dele has written his mind. we all definately have our fears, Soludo may not be a saint (not if all we read is btrue) but he has definately given a lot for his fatherland. Let me just add that I am personally scared of the kind of solution Sanusi would proffer, the best we can do now is to watch things unfold. Sanusi should not hesitate to call a spade a spade, but he better be sure it is a spade because in Nigeria hindsight has shown that it is not enough to shout fire! fire!

My my, the comments being made about this article so far, ( which happens to be so apt by the way, for any right thinking person) largely along tribal lines- the igbo man blaming the hausa man, the yoruba man blaming the igbo man, the hausa man blaming the yoruba man, everybody blaming everybody. It really gets me wondering if the prediction made by the Americans about the disintegration of Nigeria in the near future is not true after all. We are at the precipice. Its frightening.

I bet he would've recovered all these debts in a manner that wount stirr confusion and tension in the nation. Not just 3 or so months on the sit Sanusi is talking of an Islamic bank/banking system. Please let wait and see what happens next, this banking saga might turn out to be like everyother nigerian actions,we may turn out to see a worst kind of corruption out of it.we all know how the power probe people started and how it ended.

.
Timi is right. THE YORUBA and THE IGBO ARE THE PROBLEM WITH NIGERIA. Both have always pondered this mere geographical expression through the prism of their parochial interests. Thus what is good for the Yoruba or Igbo is inherently good for Nigeria. Utter balderdash! I can’t abide both tribes. The Yoruba especially are toxic, vain, selfish, cruel and tribalistic. Even Lord Lugard had to run away from them. Perhaps Wole Soyinka is one of the few Yoruba men you can confide in and walk away without fear of knives darting into your back.
As for the Igbos, they are a curse on this country. Uncouth, aggressive, grasping and rapacious, they never know where or when to stop. Suddenly, kidnapping for ransome we started and dropped in the creeks has been turned into an industry in the South-East just like other vices started elsewhere. The SOLUTION is to excise both zones from Nigeria so that the country can progress and prosper as a nation of minorities( and that includes the Hausas and the Fulani). To placate Dr. Edwin Madunagu , the Igbo can be given a corridor to the Cameroon mountains unless the Ikwerre want to integrate with them for sea access. In any case the Niger is being dredged for a direct berth for their fake and adulterated imports. The Yoruba who will always jarr your ear with “We have Lagos” can finally have their lagos and just go away .

This is common to many NIgerian journalists. Writing articles based on little or no research. They quote sources and make ambigous claims. They make stupid predictions based on their convictions rather than base it on robust research, that even if later proven wrong, such prediction will have some credibility since it was based on some good research.

Your great Sanusi is a menace to the Country's economy. And like many before him, they come into office to reverse policies already in place. That is why there is never sustainable progress in Nigeria. No continuity. That is why true investors look past Nigeria for more stable Countries. They know the next president and his currupt fellows will reverse all current policies and start from zero point again.

Yes, for those who say Dele Sobowale is not in the same league as Soludo. You are right, as far as I am concerned. The man who I would say for now, since Awolowo I would say, brought workable policies to any sector of the NIgerian economy is being vilified by a Newspaper Columnist who probably got his job because he knows people in high places and not because of competence.

Sanusi is not here to clean up. Yes, there is a problem. Such loans as those given out by the affected banks is ridiculous. But do you carry out such reforms on the pages of the news papers? did the so called £420 Billion bailout money pass through the National Assembly? did he follow the provisions of the constitution before carrying out the sacking and arrest of the bank chiefs? No. If the purpose of the bail out was debated on the floor of the national assembly, we might have gained some insight into the main reason all these is taking place. At least he will have to tell how he hopes to recoup the bailout money. Then we will know what plans he had, probably "the plans they have" for the affected banks. Yorubas and Igbos probably have more interest in the Nigerian banking industry accoding to publications few years back in the Nigerian media. If I am not mistaken, Soludo published the report making this claim. Now, maybe that has already started to change.

We only hope the media can make the right noise to stop this rot rather than praise people runnig down a great Country. I read some scripts from the confirmation hearing into the appointment of Sanusi. He had one answer to all the questions asked. Risk, Risk, and Risk management and my experience in Risk management. You would have taught the CBN was an institution that only does something in the area of RISK management.

Whatever you might want to say, if you start using words like "The block head, had written to inform me " .................... , you immediately destroy the respect others might have for you, and reduce your comment to an arrogant, intollerant rant. Try and be more controlled next time you are annoyed please !

.If we like it or not the truth shall always set us free, but it would first make us miserable.Soludo tried but he compromised with most of these bank chiefs. What sense does it make if you consolidate the banking industry which was a laudable idea by Soludo and on the second hand spoil what you have already built.Dele Sobowale would always stand for the truth, like it or not

We may not agree with Dele views but the principles of his write up of this particular issue cannot be faulted. Dele was one of the first person to sound the alarm on the impending crisis in the Nigeria stock exchange that led to the collapse of the over bloated shares which were overvalued by these banks that are crooks. Soludo is a crook and should be treated as such.

More are yet to be unveil. same wrath should visit the NSE. We are dying while the rich are collecting the investors money without collateral.
Dear Mr Dele, we may not know what transpired between your humble self and the OBJ govt. that you have vowed or may have taking a deathly oath to destroy whatever was connected to that govt. first, it was mr ribadu then mr el rufai, now is the turn of mr soludo to run to a foriegn country so that you and president yaradua will own the country alone.
We do know that this present government is a mess already. we do know that this present govt will rank as the worst government ever in the history of this country. but instead of you to write about it, you are busy chassing shadow. The problem of this country is deeper than soludo or his bank reform, whatever he did was because he belived it was right. By the way, what about the FOIB, what about the monumental corruption that has siezed our national life, what about our current leaders and their life style while the majority languish in abject poverty;these things i think should rather engage your mind.

Frank,
That you have descended to abusing people rather than providing a good defense for your hero, is a demonstration that you are not well informed. Name calling or abusing the other fellow rather than coming up with a well-reasoned argument cannot win you any sympathy; rather it is how you articulate your points that will convince readers that your reasoning is that of an intelligent person.
A rational mind will like to dissect the article to see if what Mr. Sobowale had written was in fact true. Or, in the alternative, determine if the accusation was unfounded, and then come up with an argument for intent to malign the reputation and integrity of Professor Soludo against Mr. Sobowale.
I did not see you doing any of these instead you descended so low by abusing Mr. Sobowale and even joining him with OBJ. Co-joining him with OBJ as if they are Siamese twins is a testament that you are not familiar with the Frankly Speaking column. I need not say more.
If you want to learn more about how Professor Soludo compromised his position as CBN governor, find out how he floated an investment bank with CEOs of many of the banks as directors and how that bank was funded with money withdrawn from the CBN without authorization by the National Assembly or the President. Go to this link:

I don't understood the point you are trying to making. If you don't know what to write again you better shut up. You always like to run people down.

please mr Dele are you trying to imply that soludo, conived with these bank chiefs, and there elite customers to hold on to the money they borrowed... you are making a devil of this man without even telling us what his offences are
who knows what is your agenda and that of your crowns ...OBJ will not die a good death, and if you are one of his messengers, then the same faith will befall you too

Up till now we dont know why some people were after the former efcc chief, no body asked nothing. Now they want to go after the former cbn chief, for what definitely is not his fault...its funny, but the powers that be has gotten there hands both on the efcc and the cbn...lets wait for another one year then we can be able to compare the works of Prof. Soludo with that of Sanusi
@ Dele, i believe u know the vanpires in our country and you know what they can do, thats why you tell your own citizen to run away from his own country, without any clear reason what his offences are. Can u write something on them too, if not you will be met with the same kind of evil that will soon befall all of them starting from your almighty OBJ

The situation is very hazy. Not even the best psychic like our area boy can really predict what the future holds for the banking sector in Nigeria and indeed for Nigeria. But as a medium I will ask all those putting their hope in this Sanusi's ABRACADABARA TO TARY awhile. I know the ORACLE, the AREA BOY has lent his support to Sanusi at least to prove how dumb Soludo was. But if you ask me, the best option now is to' SIDON LOOK'! Oh that phrase was popularised by the erudite BOLA IGE who was MUDDERED in 'Enugu' by the criminal 'IGBO ROBBERS' as an Attorney General. Sorry, if you believed this last statement you are an area boy sheekina!!!

"At Jankara University, we learn only three subjects: “commitment to truth as close as you can get to it; “street wisdom designed to warn you when a scam is in the making; “intellectual integrity to ensure that people can, by and large, rely on what you state or write".............lol

Ride on Mr Sobowale. So they (some ignorants Igbos and fools) have called you Jankara market graduate? lol
You remember in one of my comments to your articles in which I said, "I told one Igbo educated illitrate to stop gloating on economy sabotage by saying the Igbos are the most intelligent people in Nigeria because they would make shoes in Nigeria, export it to Dubai or Europe and then re-import to deceive their fellow Nigerians as imported goods?" And you know what they called me on that forum? Jakande school graduate…lol.

I honestly don’t think these fools know that ecology and gene is the main determinant of what you are, not paper qualifications. These boys just don't know what is called Yoruba wisdom (Yoruba is the first black nation to acquired western education in the world) which they are seriously jealousing of. Ajayi Crowther, a Yorubaman translated the Holy Bible to his mother tongue and the first African to win noble prize in Literature is a Yorubaman or Am I missing something here? Why then can’t these fools give us a bit of respect for christ sake?

Anyway, that is not the issue.
On reading the article you wrote about Soludo, why did these myopic want you to say? That Soludo was the best CBN governor that Nigeria ever had? With all these revelations coming out now, they want you to say that, the man and her Igbo partner in finance section Nweala used his position to bring Nigeria economy to the best we have ever seen in Nigeria?

Apart from bank CONSOLIDATION- I am not a banker therefore, I don’t bloody care what that means, but I know it did not put extra bread and butter on Nigerians table nor the Nigerian economy prospects better than before he was put there. In 2005 Naira to Pound Sterlling where I live here was below 150 to 1 and how much was it to 1 before he left in 2009? over 200. So what are we talking about; perhaps because we managed to get cheaper Tokubo parts and managed to get more Igbos in business of buying and selling that should be a credit on his part and other non Igbo Nigerian should not write anything in his memoir

Mr. Sobowale, I must be frank I have never enjoyed your writeups. You seem not to see anything good in any of the people you criticize and that to me is VERY BAD! In as much as no one can be entirely perfect, no one is completely bad also. I am not saying you should close your eyes to a wrong someone has done but in that same sense, stop discrediting people for the good they have done. Even this Sanusi guy, we're not sure what he's up to. At least I read from the Vanguard about this gangup that's playing out now even before he became CBN Governor and I believe his hands are not clean, to say the truth. I beg to defer with you on Soludo, he has done his best please!
