Abuja – In a bid to ensure free and fair elections in 2011, the Civic Duties Awareness Initiatives (CADAI), yesterday said it would mobilise 100 million Nigerians to vote in the next polls in the country.
It explained that the campaign would lead to the emergence of the true leaders of the people in Nigeria.
According to the group, the general apathy by Nigerians towards voting is the major cause of rigging and political violence in the country.
It stated that the aparty by Nigerians towards participating in the electoral process isÂ Â responsible for the increasing corruption associated with politics in the country.
Addressing journalists in Abuja, Ben Oyekunle, spokesperson of CADAI, said the group would mobilize Nigerian s to actively participate in the next general elections in 2011.
He stressed that the group would embark on a nationwide campaigns across the 6 geo political zones in the country to ensure that Nigerians vote en masse in the 2011 elections.
