KADUNA — The Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) has praised the security agencies for crushing what it described as “a devilish group called Boko Haram’’(an Islamic sect which believes that Western education is sin) saying that Moslems in the country should dissociate them-selves from the criminal activities of the group.
The JNI is led by the Sultan of Sokoto and President, Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Mohammed Sa’ad Abubarkar.
In a statement signed by Alhaji Abubarkar in Kaduna, yesterday, the JNI stated, “it is with deep feeling of sadness that we once again address the unfortunate events occasioned by the criminal activities of a devilish group called Boko Haram in mostly North-East cities of our country.
“For five days, members of this motley outfit had constituted themselves into terror group, unleashing mayhem on all agents of constituted authority and other innocent people.”
‘We firmly and categorically dissociate Islam and Muslims from this group and denounce its criminal onslaught on the security agencies; on Muslims and indeed on any other Nigerian. Islam cannot advocate intolerance and violence and will never condone the activities of any group which promote murder and arson.
‘We also take exception to the misguided philosophy of the Boko Haram group which have a primeval abhorrence for all aspect of education and is bent on evolving a society based on ignorance and terror.
‘ Islam is a religion based on knowledge and the Muslim ummah is necessarily a knowledge-based society. Islamic civilization had historically been at the forefront of knowledge including science and technology.
‘The current technological progress in the global arena could not have been possible without the pivotal and historical role played by Muslims in the process.
‘ The Jama’atu Nasril Islam, the Muslim Ummah and indeed Muslims all over the world reject the retrogressive, mischievous and misguided philosophy of the Boko Haram group and call upon Muslims to regard the cultivation of knowledge as a noble strategic undertaking essential for evolving a dynamic Muslim Ummah and a virile nation.
‘As a result of the activities of the Boko Haram, innocent lives were lost and property destroyed. We offer our condolence to all those who lost their relatives and friends in the mayhem and pray to Allah to grant them mercy and forgiveness.
‘We also commiserate with those who lost property and the means of their livelihood and pray to Allah to compensate them accordingly.
‘We commend government and security agencies for promptly containing the situation and wish to call upon all Muslims to give complete support to them in their investigation so that they can get to the root of the causes of the ugly outbreak of violence in the North east region and the alleged extra-judicial killing of the leaders of the group.
‘ We would also want to assure our friends, especially those outside Nigeria that his unfortunate incident is an aberration which is only aimed at tarnishing the image of Islam. The Muslim leadership in Nigeria and indeed the entire nation is fully committed and determined to fight and with Allah’s help, defeat this devilish agenda.
‘In addition to the planned meeting of the Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) Fatwa Committee, a high powered meeting of all JNI stakeholders will soon be convened to examine additional short and long term strategies in dealing with this situation and others like it and to advice government appropriately.
‘Once again, we wish to reaffirm that the JNI, together with all Muslims remain focused and the task of building a peaceful, progressive and tolerant Nigeria and call upon each and every Nigerian to join us in this noble endevour. May Allah continue to bless Nigeria and Nigerians’
well, May Allah be peace with both dead and the living one amongst us. But am assuring Sultan and other Muslim members and other muslim member all over the world to please always go through the Holy Qur’an and the tradition of the Holy Prophet (SAW) in every judgement we are taking in any matters arising within our selves. Because Al Rasul (SAW) has said when things came complicating within you people (My Umah), always take a look at the Holy Book. And that is the constitution that guide all your daily activities and all that you do, shall comes to pass and every soul shall account for his/her deed.
Both killer and the killed must never live forever in this world.
Sultan and his Islamic Society and the Nigerian Police should think about this and not just take a decision that might not be right in the face of Almighty God the creator who knows more than us.
Ha ha ha !!! This diplomatic nice-speak is coming a century too late. This senseless mayhem and its ilk have been occuring in Nigeria time after time because of the failure of the JNI or whatever it calls itself to take a similar stand over the years . Their mad disciples have been encouraged to unleash mayhem on Southerners and christians in the north over the years due to their complicit silence. This current sect were only testing the boundaries to know how far they could go !
Let me remind the JNI of JUST TWO of previous senseless mayhems which they found fit to support with their thundering silence:-
1. When a Danish cartoonist published a cartoon (in far away Denmark !!) considered offensive to Islam their mad disciples descended on their innocent “countymen” in the north, slaughtering them and burning their churhes. What did JNI do or say ? NOTHING !! What did the so-called Federal Government do to prosecute the perpetrators to forestall future occurence ? N-O-T-H-I-N-G !!!
2. When two NORTHERNERS , one christian and the other muslim got into arguments over a pig or some such silly matter some years ago in Mayo Belwa area of Bauchi State, it developed into a fight and subsequently southerners in Bauchi town were slaughtered, their shops looted and their churches burnt, what did the JNI do or say ? NOTHING. And the FED GOVT? NOTHING.
SO why cry now ? Why are these their current disciple disciples “devilish” but the earlier ones were saints who needed no rebuking ? The chickens are home to roost, that’s all !! THE TRUTH WHICH NO ONE LIKES TO HEAR BUT WHICH WE ALL KNOW IS THAT THE AVERAGE NORTHERN MULIM HABOURS A VISCERAL HATRED FOR HIS CHRISTIAN SOUTHERN COMPATRIOT AND CONSTANTLY SEEKS AN OPPORTUNITY TO ELIMINATE HIM IN HIS QUEST OF JIHAD THAT WILL TRANSPORT HIM TO HIS VERSION OF HEAVEN. A HEAVEN THE PATH TO WHICH MUST BE PAVED WITH THE BLOOD OF INNOCENT ADHERENTS OF OTHER FAITHS !!!
Another truth which we continue to dodge at our collective peril is that Nigeria will not survive its present structure where there is impunity, no justice , no fairness, no accountability. It is only a matter of time before this house of cards goes the way of its type JUST A MATTER OF TIME…………

who are they deceiving, almighty God is still giving them time to repent from their wicked and devilish way in the name of religion before destroying them like soddom and gomora.
but come to think of it, why do we have muslims bombing the whole world in the name of jihad. this is not the religion that preaches peace. pls some ustaz or imam should let them know we are suppose to be our brothers’ keeper. so it is no more infidel we kill but fellow brothers. please my muslim brothers, let there be no more blood shedding. please.
Islam is a religion approved by almighty ALLAH, the most merciful. I get worried why our muslim brothers from northern nigeria treat Islam as a tradition and not as a religion. Otherwise, why do they embrace violence almost at all times. However, everyone will give account of his deeds on the day of judgeement.
