Women in media get recognition

It was a happy moment for  Media Practitioners though gender specific at the 2009 Women in Media Award night held at Terra Kulture a fortnight ago.

Both the print and electronic media were ably represented ,notable amongst the list of category of awards was the Lifetime Achievement award given Mrs Ritalori Ogbebor and Ruth Benemisia.Also,Agatha Amata(Inside Out) won the Television Presenter award beating the likes of Ireti Doyle(Today on STV),Funmi Iyanda(New Dawn)NTA,Mo Abudu (Moments with Mo) to it while Betty Irabor of Geneveive got the Print Editorial award amidst Ruth Osime(ThisDay Style),Bola Atta (True Love)and Bimbo Fola shade(Leadership and Style).

However,Mashe of Wazobia FM had the Radio presenter category with Ben Bruce and Bisi Olatilo given  Special Recognition awards respectively
The event was well attended
