Why we are working with Emodi group, by Metu
By Dennis Agbo
ABAKALIKI—NATIONAL Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), South East, Mr. Olisa Metu has denied taking sides, particularly with the Uchenna Emordi faction of the party in Anambra state, saying that it was the national officers of the PDP that gave recognition to the Emordi-led faction.
Metu said that his members of the South East Zonal Working Committee (ZWC) were working with the Emordi-led group as a way of carrying out lawful duties, as mere supervisors and in compliance with directives from the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.
Metu in a statement in Abakaliki, said “it is not in the place of the ZWC to grant recognitions, rather it is the NWC that will give recognitions, which they have to the Uchenna Emordi led executives. Therefore, the ZWC has no choice but to work with them.â€
