Senator Ita Giwa holds pre-carnival luncheon

On Saturday 20th of June, Senator Florence Ita Giwa feted  friends and well -wishers  to a pre-carnival luncheon  at  The  Eko Hotel & Suites.

The event was meant to showcase the activities of the Seagull Band , the name she gave  her carnival group. ,and their preparedness for the Calabar Festival in December.

The Band which has a membership strength of 5000, has a large following of Nigerian celebrities, mainly from  Nollywood..They turned out in their numbers to support the Senator.

Dressed in  beautiful multi – coloured costumes, in various shades, with giant feathered wings , they danced vigorously with the traditional Seagull dancers. and drummers .The premiere was excellent and well attended.
