Omatek Opens ICT Centre at Ikota

IN continuation of its ef fort to increase accessibility of Information Communication Technology (ICT) to Nigerians, indigenous computer manufacturers, Omatek Ventures Plc, has opened a new sales outlet at Ikota shopping complex, Ajah, Lagos State.

Excited about the comfort the new outlet will provide both Ikota residents and its environs, the Group Head, Channel Marketing and Exports, Mr. Valentine Otiono, said that the opening of the new sales outlet was driven by the Computer for All Nigeria Initiative (CANi), which is aimed at making computer accessible to all.

Explaining the uniqueness of the initiative, Otiono said that the Ikota outlet offers the convenience of weekend shopping, as consumers of Omatek products can now purchase any of the company’s products at the new outlet on Saturdays from 10am to 6pm and 12noon to 6pm on Sundays in addition to the regular opening hours on week days.

“Our interest at Omatek Computers is to provide opportunities for Nigerians to have access to Information Communication Technology (ICT) and to possess their own personal computers”, he reiterated.

Otiono added that the opening of the Ikota outlet coincides with the company’s mid-year sales promo, stressing that customers stand a chance of benefiting from its mega jumbo sales. He said there will also be free gifts for all purchases above one hundred thousand naira.
To sensitize members of the public on its campaign, the Company also organized a road show to create awareness through a street procession along the Lekki-Ajah corridor.  The road show took the Omatek train through Lekki, Ajah, Badore, and its environs.
