Ado-Ekitiâ€”The final burial rites of a former Federal Commissioner for Finance during the military regime, Major-General James Oluleye (rtd), is expected to take place at his country-home, Efon-Alaye, Ekiti State, on Friday.
Meanwhile, the first child of the deceased, Dr. Oluwole Oluleye, has lamented that his dad did not live to see the country of his dream
He told Vanguard at Efon- Alaye at the weekendthat his dad was passionate about the progress of this country, saying his thinking was that the younger generation of leaders would build upon what the some of them had done.
Oluwole assured that all the top echelons in the military and all the former colleagues of the late General including the former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, would be coming to pay their last respect to their one-time colleague.
Meanwhile, on Thursday July 23, there would be service of songs at his residence-17, Itaodo Ijamoro Street, Efon-Alaye, while the funeral service holds at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Idagha, Efon-Alaye while the interment follows immediately at his residence.
The late General J. J. OluleyeÂ received the national honour of Commander of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
