PANDEMONIUM broke out,Â yesterday, at Uso Lane, off Edo Street, Benin-City, after a 28 year-old lady, Helen, was allegedly murdered by her boy friend.
Meanwhile, suspected kidnappers, yesterday, abductedÂ a Benin basedÂ business mogul, Chief Mike Inegbenebo, at his residence in GRA, Benin City.Â Sunday Vanguard learnt that he was abducted by a three-man gang as he was driving into his compound.
In another development, the family of one Eguavoen Queen, who is based in the Netherlands, have fled their home after armed thugs invaded their residence in Benin City, last Friday, allegedly on the orders of a lady (names withheld), suspected to be a human trafficker.
Sunday Vanguard learnt that trouble started when the said lady who assisted Queen to travel out, asked her to engage into prostitution to enable her regain the money she expended while sponsoring her to Holland .
It was said that Queen refused and disappeared from where she was kept, which angered the lady to unleash mayhem on the family here in Benin.
Queens mother, Mrs Osayawe, told Sunday Vanguard on telephone that they had to go into hiding, â€œ since she has promised to destroy the entire family if we are not able to pay her money. We are appealing to the police to give us protectionâ€.
