A DELEGATION of the Akwa Ibom Peoples Forum (AKPF) in Ogun State, has commended the free and compulsory primary and secondary education programme and other people-oriented programmes embarked upon by the Godswill Akpabio-led government.
The team, led by the forumâ€™s director of security, Pastor Bassey James,with Dominik Umosen, Nabaham Abraham and Dr. Jameson Jameson, was in Abeokuta to acquaint Akwa Ibomites with programmes of the Akpabio administration.
James who urged Akwa Ibom inatives in Ogun State not only to be law abiding but also to be good ambassadors of their people, assured that the international coordinator of AKPF, Bishop Sam Akpan, would visit the community to familiarize them with measures adopted by the state government to improve the welfare of the people.
He noted that in view of the achievements of the government in the past two years, it would not be out of place to consider Akpabio for a second term in office.
Responding, the president of Uyio Ndito Akwa Ibom in Akwa Ibom State, Elder Sunday Imoh and Mr. Okon Wilson respectively, said they would partner with the group to mobilize Akwa Ibomites in the area to assist the state government in its bid to improve on the welfare of the people.
