Five Nigerians benefit NIMN’s iconic marketing status

Come August 2009, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) said that  five Nigerians; Mr. Felix Ohewerei, Dr. Udo Udoka, Prof. Julius Onah, Chief. Joseph Adediran and Chief. Sylvester Moemeke will be decorated with the   iconic status for their contribution to the marketing profession in Nigeria.

Chief. Lugard Aiumiuwu, President/Council Chairman of the institute said in a press conference christened “Nigeria Can”, said, afterall Nigeria and Nigerians have been labelled “bad”, by the international media, but they (Foreign media) forget to note that there are Nigerians who have contributed to the development of some companies, even though it has been reported that Nigeria has squandered about N400 billion, but that there are also some Nigerians who contributed to about the same amount  in various capacities in different parts of the world.

“On the 6th of August 2009 , Ikeja, we shall be celebrating the value that the following Marketing Icons represent Mr. Felix Ohiwerei, Chief Joseph Adediran, Chief Sylvester Moemeke, Prof. Julius Onah, Dr. Udo Udoaka, all Fellows of NIMN.”

“Mathematically, the universe equals the sum of its integral parts.  Our goal as an institute is to replicate the excellence that these gentlemen represent a million fold, and against the grain of Nigeria ’s tradition of hero_bashing and villain_praising, NIMN shall continue to hold its heroes aloft and celebrate them.  The more the organizations, sectors and segments of society that transform themselves into hubs of excellence, the more Nigeria becomes excellent.”
