Emetulu urges N-Delta youths to accept FG’s amnesty
UGHELLI—FIRST member of Delta State Post Primary Education Board (PPEB), Mr. Charles Emetulu, has charged youths of the Niger Delta to stop taking arms against the Nigerian state and accept the government amnesty in the interest of peace and development of the region.
Emetulu, who gave the charge in an exclusive interview with our correspondent, said there was no man that could win a war against his community and reiterated that taking up arms against a sovereign nation was bad.
He said the youths particularly those from Delta State, should key into the empowerment programmes of the state government so as to empower themselves economically.
According to him, the state through the PPEB, is employing over 5,000 teachers into the state teaching service.
While advising the youths to be contented with what they have, he noted that it was the drive to make ‘big money’ within a short time that was promoting violence in the country.
