GOVERNORSHIP aspirant of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra state, Mr. Emeka Etiaba, has debunked insinuations that he may step down and pick the Deputy Governor slot.

He said this yesterday when his campaign organisation, Emeka Etiaba Campaign Organisation held an interactive session with Freight Forwarders of Anambra origin. He said he is not deluded by the fact the road leading to the Government House will be tough and rough but ‘surely we will get there’.

According to him, “I am in the race to become a Governor of Anambra State. Whoever thinks I am a number 2 material had better have a second thought. Don’t be deceived, I am not collapsing my structure for anybody in order to be Deputy Governor. It is a cheap blackmail that cannot take whoever is behind it anywhere”, he said.

Etiaba also assured that he will not change his phone numbers even if he becomes Governor so that the people would be able to reach him on their grievances.

Majority of Anambra natives in the maritime industry trooped to the venue of the session even in the rain. Peter  Uzobude, Chairman of Task Force, Seme Border chapter, now Apapa said he was shocked that a governorship aspirant would send him an SMS, the first by any governorship aspirant in Anambra, inviting him to the session.
