Abuja—The Delta State chapter of Oil Mineral Stakeholders Forum (OMSTAFOR) has flayed the amnesty offer by the Federal Government as a diversion from the genuine grievances and groans of people of the Niger Delta.
The group in a statement issued by its chairman, Dr. Diamond Emuobor, said the people would have been happier if the government had given the hook to fish instead of giving them unpleasant fish in the form of an amnesty.
“We can fish for ourselves from the vast oil prospects that is in abundance in our land. We don’t need a Federal Government to tell us how we may be entitled to gain from our God-given providence, while we can negotiate directly with oil companies who want to do business with our environment.
“This is the crux of the militancy in the area. But rather than address how to give hooks to the regional occupants who are agitated by the move that a dozen proposals made by several deceitful commissions in time past that have failed to measure up to the region’s expectation, another hoaxing proposition is now and again being festered on the region as help.
“This proposal of amnesty is the most deceitful of all the proposals as witnessed by the stakeholders.
“We implore therefore the Federal Government to take the bull by the horn and address once and for all, if the president has the interest of the region at heart and save Nigeria from a future disintegration which must come if the case of making the region to participate in the true shaping of the oil is swept under the carpet of amnesty.
“The 36 states, the 774 local government areas that are bustling with wealth and human developments derive their wealth and other infrastructural lives from the oil, which forms about 98% of the federal export from this region. Who is fooling who?
“We may be postponing the evil day if the right thing is not done now. It is our pleasure that Nigeria develop along other developing nations of the world with true patriotism that is built on true federalism if Nigeria must remain a federation.’’

The Hausa fulani will continue to control the oil sector, whether u like it or not else lets to go war. we ar ready!!!!!
Thank you, The Delta State chapter of Oil Mineral Stakeholders Forum (OMSTAFOR). We are looking forward to more disciples of true federalism in the coming hours. hahaha!
OMSTAFOR must be commended for boldly speaking the truth. In this period when some Niger Deltans prefer to rob their generations unborn by supporting the evil government, we must commend organizations like OMSTAFOR who can stand up for equity and justice.
THE REPORT OF AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL ON NIGER DELTA, IS THE TURTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH. ANY PERSON WHO FAULTS THIS IMPECCABLE REPORT IS NOT ONLY ECCONOMICAL WITH THE TRUTH BUT IS IN ANOTHER PLANET AND IN CLOUD-CUCKOO-LAND. THE NIGERIAN AUTHORITY KNOWS THAT AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL IS AN IMPARTIAL BODY AND THEY PERFORM THEIR DUTY WITHOUT BLEMISH. IF IT WAS POSSILE FOR NIGERIA TO INFLUENCE THEM WITH THE USAUL GHANA MUST GO BAG, TYEY COULD HAVE DONE SO. AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL IS A HIGHLY RESPECTED INTERNATIONAL IMPARTIAL ORGANIZATION. NIGERIA AND THE OIL COMPANIES MUST BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. NIGERIA SHOULD INTRODUCE A WINDFAL TAX ON THESE OIL COMPANIES TO CLAW BACK THE HUGE PROFITS THEY HAVE MADE OVER THE PERIOD. NIGERIA MUST ASK THE OIL COMPANIES TO CLEAN THE MESS THEY CREATED AND PENALISE THEM PUNITIVELY FOR THE MESS. THE MONEY FROM THE WINDFALL TAX, EXCESS CRUDE AND 30% OF OUR EXTERNAL RESERVE SHOULD BE USED IMMEDIATELY FOR THE DEVELOPEMENT OF NIGER DELTA
MR. PRESIDENT YOU ARE NOT LISTENING. YOU SHOULD USE NIGER DELTA MONEY TO DEVELOPE THE NIGER DELTA IMMEDIATELY. ABUJA AND ENVIRONS WERE RAPIDLY DEVELOPED WITH THE MONEY FROM THE NIGER DELTA. THE SAME INTEREST AND SPEED THAT WAS USED TO DEVELOPE ABUJA SHOULD BE USED TO DEVELOPE THE NIGER DELTA. THIS WILL BE A WIN WIN FOR NIGERIA. THE CRISES WILL STOP, INVESTMENTS WILL RUSH IN, THE YOUTHS WILL BE GAINFULLY EMPLOYED, NIGERIA WILL MAXIMISE HER CRUDE OIL AND GAS PRODUCTIONS,TOURISM WILL FLORISH, NIGERIAN INTELLECTUALS AND BUSINESS PEOPLE ABROAD WILL COME BACK TO NIGERIA AND CREATE A LOT OF JOBS. AS LITTLE AS 100,000.00 (ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND) POUNDS COULD ESTABLISH A SMALL COTTAGE INDUSTRY OF A SMALL FARM AND ABOUT SIX WELL PAID JOBS CAN BE CREATED. BY SIMPLE CALCULATION, ABOUT ONE MILLION NIGERIANS ABROAD CAN RAISE THIS TYPE OF MONEY. THAT IS ABOUT SIX MILLION NEW JOBS. MR. PRESIDENT LISTEN! LISTEN!! LISTEN!!! LISTEN!!!. TIME IS NOT ON OUR SIDE AND YOUR SIDE MAKE HASTE NOW!!!!!
