That our fathers are our problem is no more a mere say as ealier objected,
imagine a traditional ruler who supose to encourage his youths to be a good ambasadors of their people had turned out to destroy the future the the youth.
Since they the traditional rulers are not appointed by their people but forced on them, what else can we expect from an individual who never thougt of the good of his people but appointed to lead thesame people?
the fate of the youths in this nation lie on God.

THE NEWS OF THE SACK OF THE TRADITIONAL RULERS OF IHIE-IYI AND ISI OBEHIE AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITIES IN ABIA STATE CAME TO US AS A RUDE SHOCK. IN AN ERA WHEN THE GOVERNMENT IS TELLING US THAT THEY ARE ADOPTING THE RULE OF LAW IN ALL PUBLIC ACTS AND PROCEEDINGS, ONE THEN WONDERS HOW THE ABIA STATE GOVERNMENT CAME TO HER CONCLUSION THAT THE DIGRACED TRADITIONAL RULERS WERE GUILTY AND DESERVED THE HAMMER. THE GOVERNMENT IS QUICK TO OVERLOOK ITS INSESITIVITY TO THE NEEDS OF THE PEOPLE AND AN IRRESPONSIBLE LEADERSHIP BUT WILL INVEST THE MEAGER RESOURCES OF THE PEOPLE LEFT AFTER MINDLES LOOTING BY THE CARETAKERS OF THE TREASURY IN THE CHASE OF PERCEIVED OPPOSITION WHO ARE ONLY THE FEW COURAGEOUS ONES WHO SPEAK UP AGAINST THE PREVALLENT EVIL. THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO MAKE PUBLIC HOW IT CAME TO ITS CONCLUSION OR PROMPTLY APOLOGISE TO THE ROYAL FATHERS. ABIA STATE BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE OF ABIA STATE AS A WHOLE AND NOT A FEW PERSONS WHO THINK THEY HAVE ACQUIRED THE STATE INCLUDING THE SITTING GOVERNMENT OF THE STATE. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

After reading what Alamsco went through,just because Gorillar (Obasanjo) wanted another term in office after his two terms.I felt pity for him. The question now is can’t something be done to that idiot Obasanjo.I mean can’t he be probed.One thing i must tell Nigerians is that the day Obasanjo will die,he will die just like Jezzibel that he is.How can one man treat a fellow human being just the way he treated Alamsco and so many other people that we are yet to hear their odeal from that monster
It is really a pity that personally there is nothing i can do.But God must surely pay him back

Ex-MASSOB Commander and leader of a dreaded 29-man gang of kidnappers and robbers who have terrorized the South East for over two and half years, Innocent Orji, alias ‘B’ stone General’, was yesterday paraded by the
Inspector General of Police, Mike Okiro in Abuja.

Orji confessed that one of the two Chinese nationals kidnapped by his gang at Nnewi, died in his custody.

Orji also disclosed that his gang has realised up to N20million income, as ransom for their kidnap victims, and that from the proceeds, he paid his boys, N20, 000 monthly as salary for their robbery activities while many of them got married in their camp located at Ekoli-Edda in Afikpo South local government of Ebonyi state.

Explaining how they began kidnapping, Orji said, “When our leader, Chief Ralf Uwazuruike was arrested by the Federal Government, he told us MASSOB, to make some noise so that government will release him.

We then scattered. After that we started looking for money to sustain ourselves”. There was one army officer, Chukwuebuka Ikewachukwu, serving in Lagos who was training our boys at Idoani and Ojoto. He directed us to one abandoned prison yard in Nnewi.

“But we needed money and I sent my boys to talk to our people to raise money. They went to Chief Ogbuawu and he gave them N1million. But they came back and gave me N400, 000 saying it was raised from the market. Ejiofor later told me the money was from Ogbuawu and it was N1million.

It is really unfortunate the way people like Emmanuel Ugbana, write and jump into issues that they no next to nothing about .

The kidnapping that is taking place in the whole of south east is quiet unfortunate and the above name is calling for one governor to resign from office . how many governors has resigned due to the offence committed in their domain .,

I sincerely advise that vanguard should check before they publish people comment , how can a man of sound mind write that Abia should be ceded to cameroun

I hereby submit that the issue if kidnapping is a moster that has crippled in from Niger delta and should be fought by all parties.

I was in Ariaria market about August 2008 when traders were holding one of their rather frequent prayer sessions. Upon enquiry, I was told they were experiencing hardship as a result of witches and wizzards, and all manner of extreneous forces. Typical story of a Nigerian failed and failing business man. It is usually “our enemies”.

Today, the entire south east is under kidnappers seige. The regions’ well meaning sons and daughters, constituting about 20 percentage of the population, can not visit their villages for a blissful night. The economic impact of these kidnappings may not be clear to the government, the kidnappers and residents (including traditional rulers) untill it is too late – if it is not already too late.

South east relies heavily on commerce and influx of funds from their sons and daughters in diaspora (including resident in other parts of Nigeria). I am very certain the markets in Aba will soon start experiencing the additional woes of reduced patronage stoked by fears of kidnapping. The millions of dollars and naira that igbo sons and daughters inside and outside the country pour into building/rebuilding their country homes, supporting their town unions, their churches, their simblings, etc, will soon dry up if this scourge is not quickly arrested. Questions are continuously being asked by Ndi Igbo in diaspora, “is the risk of visiting home really worth it?”. Many have already cancelled their flights to Nigeria (South east) for the Christmas out of fear.

It is up to the town unions, the traditional rulers and local council authorities to reign-in this reign of terror by kidnappers. It is very doubtful the Nigeria Police could or even, would help in this situation. Relying on the Nigeria Police is like saying there is no solution to the problem.

God help us as we seek a solution that restores sanity and serenity to our villages in the South East.

Someone mentioned they should have ceded Abia to Cameroon,come to think of it Cameroon is far much better than failed Nigeria.Go to Europe,Canada and other parts of the world,Cameroonians are better treated and respected than Nigerians.In Cameroon,there is security of lives and property,24hr electricity,good drinking water,functional social and educational system and their government is not as corrupt as the one in Nigeria.If I were an Abian,I would even prefer to be part of Cameroon as Nigeria is already ruined beyond repair.People in their ignorance keep writing rubbish yet they will prefer to die in overseas than coming back to their Nigeria.Some even go to Cameroon obtain their passport or residence permit in order to get a visa to the western world because they know it is a long shot to get it with Nigerian documents.Fools!!!

It took a long time coming, but every discerning mind would have seen it before now. The former governor-Kalu must accept the blame for this. He completely abused the traditional institution in the state. The traditional staff of office was used as a tool for political leverage. Ex-thugs, fraudsters, ritual murderers, charlatans and brainless huzzlers were made traditional rulers. In some villages, every clan got an eze.
When you make these rogues rulers in their communities, what happens to the people? Abia is the southeast state with the highest level of mediocrity in all levels of governance. Just try holding a discussion with an appointee (even the so called elected officials) in the state, and you will marvel at how empty they really are. Shameful!

When will the Igbos sit down to discuss the insecurity engolfing us: kidnapping, killing of innocent people, armed robbery. Why has the Igbo man become a cold-blooded killer, a hired assassin, extorting ransom money. Did the Bible not tell us that thou shalt not kill. Who gives those murderers the right to sniff out their fellow Igbo’s life? Whether it is the abuse of heroine, other drugs etc, our leaders should have a plan to eradicate these violent crimes. Open public debate involving the media (radio, tv, newspapers), our Governors, the police and indeed all stake-holders, psychologists, criminologists, up to the grassroot level of market traders. The question of arms and who imports them to the country, the question of hard drugs and where they come from; the question of why the Igbos have turned to criminals to earn a living. It is all these insecurity that will always deter investors in our Igboland. And we shall remain underdeveloped for another century. Why, dear Igboman, why trade in killing your fellow brethren? Can’t we resolve problems without resorting to killing our opponents?

I travelled home December last year and it was quite obvious that there is no development in Abia. I really dont know what the present Governor will point as his achievement. Gov T.A Orji should visit P.H and seek an advice on how to run the state. Abia is a failed state. I went round Umuahia and cannot not notice much developmental project going on. Here, in Lagos you can see what governance is all about but same is not in Abia. I am from Ngwa and call on all Ngwa sons and daughters of Ngwaland to condem this kidnapping as it seems is more in our land. Each report i received from village is ..dont come home often as kidnapping is the order of the day. Like i said earlier on the government should revist the creation of so called autonomous communites and several Ezes. It is not part of our culture, i did not grow up to know all this Ezes who are today traditional rulers of questionable characters. All Ngwas should condemn this act before it consumed the state.
