Elvis Presley was undoubtedly the Greatest Entertainer who ever lived. Artists such as Michael Jackson and Bob Marley do not even come close.
Elvis was the whole package - the talent, the voice, the staqe act, the looks, the acting ability, the charisma and the humility to go with them. Further, Elvis could, and did, sing in virtually every musical genre open to him whereas Michael Jackson concentrated mainly on POP songs.

Of course, Elvis was more than just an entertainer but in fact an historical figure. He was the one who broke down social and cultural barriers in 1950's U.S.A. making it easier for all entertainers who followed in his footsteps, including The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Madonna and Bob Marley. and all the others. In fact, Elvis paved the way for Dr. Martin Luther King in the 1960's.

Of course, the allegations of Paedophilia did not help Jackson's career and in fact his obsession with attempting to remain young backfired on him in that he did not mature as an artist.

Elvis remains the only KING of music, a title bestowed on him by the public and not like the 'self-proclaimed' King Of Pop Michael Jackson.

Elvis was a true original and remains 'sui generis'.

Who are the Nigerian Stars? How many f them were borne when good music were played by highly philosophical musicians, most of who laid there lives for their fellow human beings with their music.
As far as other right thinking people and I are concerned that boy Michael Jackson who had no confidence in himself and the God that created him is not greater than Sir Fredrick Handel, James Brown, Bob Marley, Fela Anikulakpo Kuti, Miraim Makeba , Hugh Masekela , Sunny Okosun and even Nkem owoh (Ukwa).
A boy like Michael Jackson was not proud and conscious of his very being is nothing close to great where in the circle of thinking people.
I just pray those Nigerian stars who reason like him do not follow the Michael Jackson unedifying manners and work themselves into untimely death.
