Okah’s violent campaign made several innocent men women and children die in the NIger Delta without the previledge of being flown to Germany of even Egypt to tend to their wounds, now he has ‘common’ kidney failure and all hell is let loose. Importing quipments and experts is perhaps the best option. In that case Mr Okah will not be the only one benefitting but other Nigerians too. Perhaps this should be a model for all the political leaders who always want to go abroad for treatment. They should bring the experts and equipment to Nigeria and everybody stands to benefit. In as much as i sympathize with henry okah over his health condition,we must not forget the fact that what goes around comes around.To me because most of these so called militants cannot even defend what they are fighting for.
Take for instance the MEND leader Asari Dokuboh I have listerned to this guy on different fora and he has never impressed me with his line of debates they do not even talk intelligently and i am bitter when some people compare Asari with Ken saro-wiwa to me frankly speaking most of this guys are criminals that are not even smart with their activities.
Let me give a simple analogy have u ever heard that the money these militants extorted from their victims or oil companies have ever been used to buy even a carton of paracetamol for any local medical center in the region? it is laughable even reading the body of the news u will see that okah’s wife is based in south africa not even in Port-Harcourt or Bayelsa so who are we deceiving !! pls let of face reality of situation .The federal Government is not serious about their campaign.To me frankly the entire amnesty thing is a hoax that nothing positive can come out of it

How come that after over fifty years of oil exporation and exploitation, we still don’t have medical facilities to treat such minor ailments such as kidney problems. I call it minor because every city in every country in Europe, America and Asia have medical facilities to handle this problem. Or is it henry Okah that is also responsible for failure of Government to provide these specialists hospitals, Barry Oluwale? We call ourselves the giant of Africa yet we are going for medical checkups and treatments even for malaria and typhoid fever(s) in Egypt, South Africa , Ghana, etc. Henry Okah’s aside, what about most of us Nigerians who cannot afford medical treatment abroad? Do we have to die when we are afflicted with a DESEASE such as kidney problem? This failure on the part of government to provide simple amenities for public use is the reason the likes of Henry Okah took up arms to fight. I know you do not have the heart and liver of a man to stand up and be counted; and i say to you that a man who will not die for what he believes in is not fit to live. I think this is the time for Nigerian Medical Association to start considering a national strike, asking for 30 % of the national budget to be spent on health.
Remember ASUU is asking for ONLY 26% on education, Road Transport Workers may be asking for just 40%, NEPA or is it PHCN should ask for 50 %.
What about Niger Delta? 55 %?. All others can go to hell. We actually don’t need food to exist. Kidnappers should also ask for something?

With all the oil windfalls over the past 10yrs, we ought to have put our health institution in working state by now, not even for the common man but for the people at the height of power.
