I believe this militants are either confused or stupid. Also, what some of them are asking for which is thheir own soverinity is one thing i know they cant handle. the moment any government wants to activate the "Niger Delta Self- destruct" button, all they have to do is to give them the soverinity, then beging to count from 100 down.

Dear KALAKUTA,I'm in principle in complete agreement with what you profess to stand for,I'm from that axis of the country, and appreciate quite well the abandonment and despirate underdevelopment there.

My headache, and I believe a lot of folks will agree with me,you(as a group) seemed to have kept a complicit silence on how the extra 13% monthly allocations are spent by the inept and wickedly corrupt governors. Will you not agree that these individuals(governors)deserves your "special treatment",for stealing the collective dreams of everyone of us?

Let me quickly add that I agree the 13% is not enough(absolutely ridiculous, actually);nevertheless,if honestly and cleverly marshalled to prosecute our needs there would be difference,or albeit very slight.I've been to Lagos State recently the transformation going on there is quite telling, and yet Lagos State don't get the extra 13% monthly allocations.

If you folks have not achieved the grand objective,at least you have the attention of the world, that includes the hopelessly irritating governors.Perhaps it is time you folks engage their attention to account for these moneys.Wish you best regards in your pursuits.

I really believe it is time to lay down arms. There is so much anguish and suffering in the creeks right now. The rivers are all loaded with floating crude. Aquatic life is gradually fading away. People can't move freely and many are losing their jobs - ALL NIGER DELTANS. We can really stop this. Let's give this amnesty deal a trial.

See, MEND has been so silent lately. Why MEND? Please go and blow off the remaining litre and only then will the government understand the difference between true federalism and amnesty.

Tompolo has requested that we refute the story carried in the Vanguard newspaper which claimed he was requesting for the amnesty being proposed by the government to criminals through Chief E. K. Clark.

Professor J.P. Clark’s suggestion on armistice as against amnesty for freedom fighters is what MEND and Tompolo are favorably disposed to for adoption as the next step to take towards resolving the crisis.

While the government is talking about amnesty on one hand, the JTF on the other is still carrying out punitive scorched earth policy on communities around oil facilities as a way of permanently relocating the people from their ancestral homes and turning the area into an oil mining area.
The July 2, 2009 attack was carried out on the Abiteye community in Delta state by the JTF. We will not be surprised if the army denies it or simply blame it on unknown soldiers.

The burning down of this community even when the inhabitants have fled will be revenged and it is the oil companies that will bear the brunt.

The recent comments by Vice President Goodluck Jonathan that criminal barons are frustrating the amnesty implementation is not true. The governments insincerity is the major cause where one sees the Interior Minister traveling from Abuja to Port Harcourt to talk to fake representatives of militant commanders but can not travel the shorter distance to see Henry Okah who is dying and needs urgent medical attention.

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) hereby warns the investors to the Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline project that unless the Niger Delta root issues have been addressed and resolved, any money put into the project will go down the drain as we will ensure that it faces the same fate other pipelines are facing today.

We want to use this opportunity to warn the remaining companies still operating in the region, namely Agip, Total, Shell and Exxon Mobil to leave while there is still time because within the next 72 Hours Hurricane Piper Alpha will be upgraded to Hurricane Moses.

America and other big oil demons are only waiting for the right and justifiable time to assist the FG in flushing you guys out so they can continue with oil sucking.
The issue of arm protest in the ND is not a reason why the region is not developed. The activities of oil/gas extraction in ND is dated more than 40years ago. What have happen over these years. Lagos is better than PHC, Yenagoa, Calaba, Uyo and Warri. Even Abuja is better than these cities and also Kastina and Niger states are better than these cities and thier states. Because these criminals(GVT) find their way into power thru backdoors and are blind and lack leadership skills nothing will happen even after all the people of ND beg for the developmnt of ND. Peacful protest by Ken Saro Wiwa (KSW) could solve it. Maybe a much stronger force can do it.

They (criminal GOVT of YRD) will claim of NOT having knowledge of what is going or they will claim your gangs kill you. The activities of ARM protest in ND do not stop developmnt of the ND; if you argue that why is these oil multinational still running their shows.
Unti the philosophy that hold one tribe superior and another inferior is permanently and openly discredited in this country there would always be war in the ND. We cannot keep saying one Nigeria while some are calling others fools by saying they are "born to rule". Nigeria aint seen nothing yet, one day it would be so dark that people will fear it is finished. The civil war did not teach us anything. The strong always trust in his strenght but the weak will be full of surprises if they can become stronger with courage and determination for change.

The struggle in Niger Delta lost it legitimacy when Niger Delta youths took to criminality.

Bunkering, kidnapping of Innocent citizens for ransom should never have been part of the struggle.

Personally I don’t support bombing of houses by JFT, but we all should know that if not for the criminality that is going on in the region, the JTF will never have done what they did in Gbaramantu.

This is the time for the leaders of the region to come together with Government and dialogue, ensure that their youths find a genuine way to the struggle and not criminality.

May God grant them all their prayers.

Tompolo or Tombolo, Ateke or Cricket, Okah or Corn: You all militant are making a big mistake but i do not know why our government are easy to go with the negotiations with militants; it should be a treasonable offense against the state.
Sorry if your hurt with my comment but the best and only solution is to Dialogue for we are thrown stone in a glass house or in the market, we all will pay the dues for this someday not now.

Thank you

The vultures from the north and their delta allies are going to destroy their own people. Unless the power which the north apportions to itself and their southern allies is curtailed, this nation 9ja will always be a sickler. It will remain a 'great nation' on paper only. But for the south-south peoples, sorry! The hausas and fulanis lied to you in 1966 and you believed them. The oil that comes from underneath the graves of your ancestors is tranported to the north first and thereafter to europe and other places. You get nothing but grief. You vill not get more the grief either. That is your portion in the hand of the hausas, period. Keep fighting for your right. For what is your's. However you have to exclude criminals. Why be for amnesty What have you done wrong? Nothing!

It will be futile efforts if amnesty is accepted without the real criminals separated from genuine freedom fighters. The leaders so called and the bunkerers will never allow the peace except they have their trade in stock continue to thrive.

Unfortunately, most of the commanders/leaders of the MEND and their supporters are bunkerers.

The Federal Government must engage in genuine developmental projects like linking the creeks with roads and b ridges, electricity provision, these will help to boost the courage of the ordinary populace of this region, to muster courage to oppose the so-called leaders of sabotage camouflaging as freedom fighters.

Direct execution of these project will help matters, no middle men of stakeholders that has never helped matters in this region, the agencies like NNDC and DESOPADEC are better in any way to mediate in such projects, these agencies are made up of questionable characters. Since their inception, it has been the same story of complaints without genuine development seen.

Please help us to cultivate and maintain the peace.

Boyloaf is talking about 'rebuilding' houses burnt down by the JTF! How can he even open his mouth when his group is blowing up flow stations and pipelines carrying crude oil which polute water fronts, farmlands, fishing pond etc. What is he going to do about it? He should remember that it is his illegal activities that brought in the JTF. Infact both the nigerian government forces and the so called militants are all evil people.
There is nothing like a well directed struggle for the good of the niger deltans.. Apparently, what is on the ground now is a gathering of oil bunkerers and criminals fighting one another. Be they JTF or not!

destruction and demolition does not bring peace and progress, let all be sincere to one another, be patriotic and selfless in what we do and above all be fair to all. Let every mouth speak of peace and we shall get there someday.

Tompolo I doubt this source of news, because when they want goverment gratification they 'll bring a news item that 'll make them relevant. If truely Tompolo is sending that message of him ready to embrace the federal government amnesty, that's to say the Ijaw leader Clark knows his whereabout! so why waste peoples time. If the security agency[s] are sincere let this source be arrested and he 'll be a guide to hideout of the man been declared wanted. Let the federal government just embrace and implement Gen. Ogomudia and Mittea's committee's report and there 'll be absolute peace.....

ALLAH is the name of almighty God, what does Baker mean by saying "never trust those ALLAHS in Abuja"? The name Allah, unlike its english equivalent, is never used with a prefix or a suffix to coined any other meaning. It is the only name exclussivelly reserved to God almighty. ND may be mostly non-Muslims but Asari Dokubo has found a platform within Islam to accomodate his kind of agitation, therefore Islam can not in anyway be blamed for the woes in ND. May Allah be glorified.

Most importantly the President must implement the reports of the Niger-Delta Technical committee; headed by Mr. Ledum Mittee, and also move into action by developing the N-delta region without further delay. Atleast lets solve this problem once and for all.
