AWKA—IN what was seen as a morale booster, the South East leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has conveyed the message of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party to the Anambra state chapter of the party, that there was no going back on the recognition accorded the Uchenna Emodi–led executive of the party in the state.
South East zonal chairman of PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, who led all the zonal officers on a visit to Anambra state, urged the state executive to continue with its reconciliatory move and ensure that everybody was carried along in the scheme of things in the party and in the state.
According to him, the party would no longer tolerate divided loyalty, adding that those who are for the party, must be absolutely loyal to the leadership at all levels to ensure harmony.
“For years, we have been in the wilderness. We have suffered and cried and by the grace of God, our suffering will soon end as we are determined to take over the Government House in 2010. What this means is that we must campaign hard. The enemies will come, but we must work hard to achieve our aim.
“PDP is the only party where you have the largest concentration of intellectuals in this state and what we need is to join hands in working for the party in the interest of Anambra state. We have all the Senators, all the members of the House of Representatives and all the 30 state legislators, which confirms PDP’s dominance in this state. We must therefore not allow the Government House to slip off our hands again,” Metuh told party officials.
He explained that the national leadership of the party had directed all elected and appointed persons on the platform of PDP to embark on sensitization visit to their constituencies, adding that the zone would soon organise a rally in the Anambra state as part of the build-up to the 2010 governorship election.

This man Olisa Metuh has started blowing the trumpet of riging, but he and his cohorts will be surprise this time, cause it`s aint gonna be easy,i wonder whats even makes him to think that Anambra people are taking his words serious, not even his party members are, people like him are agents of distraction and distructions.
Vanguard newspaper is a paper that we love to read here in Amsterdam, please cont. the good work you guys are doing both in Anambra State and Nigeria, its time for all Anambra people to be wise and make sure thier vote is count or they will ask where is thier vote, if somepeople believe that the State belong to them.
YOU have all of them right! But Thief Metuh down deep your conscience were they truly elected by ever smart people of Anambra state or were selected by rogues like you and forced them on the people? You people should stop insulting the intelligent of Anambrarians! It is highly embarrassing every now and then I hear an elderly man like you saying “WILL TAKE OVER ANAMBRA” As if the state is filled with people without heads and brain! Thief Metu you know very well Anambrarians do not vote political parties rather someone they like and cherished so much and we all know those good leaders. But rogues like you have always deny us the opportunity to have our elected choice handle the affairs of the state without interruption. 2010 Will definitely be a different case in the history of our state! PDP will no longer have a free time to do what they know best! By the time they will be getting themselves out of self logjam, the new governor will be marking first 100days of fresh election in our state. But I will be quick to point out here that except if PDP do the right thing by presenting to the people a popular candidate someone with proven records, not just every person the old man talk of taken over the state will just be usual empty boost.
You guys are just rogues
well done olisa metu , kudo senator emma anosike PDP POWER TO THE PEOPLE
