Police Constable arrested for raiding pastor’s house

Asaba—A Police Constable attached to the Delta State police command has been arrested alongside one other person for allegedly breaking into a pastor’s private residence at Okpanam in Oshimili North Local Government Area of the state.
Vanguard gathered that incident took place at about 11am last Saturday while the pastor was away to the church preaching to the congregation.
Nemesis, however, caught up with the policeman (names withheld) when members of the church caught him red-handed while ransacking the pastor’s bedroom. He was promptly arrested while his accomplice who fled into a nearby bush was equally apprehended and handed over to the police.
State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Charles Muka, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) confirmed the story saying “yes, he was arrested.
He is one of the bad elements who found their way into the force. We will hasten the departmental trial, dismiss him and charge him to courtâ€, he stated.
